I myself do not have the inclination to convert a Church into a home, especially the former St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church on 2 East Bertsch Street. I grew up in Lansford, and attended that very church beginning at a very early age,until I said goodbye to Roman Catholicism in 1978. Also, My Dad's Funeral Mass took place in that Church 30 years ago, and I went back there in Dec of 07 to attend my Mom's funeral. You can guess where her funeral mass was held. Nope, too many memories for me as far as that place is concerned and I invite you to notice that if you were in my place you would feel the same way. Anyway, good luck and goodbye.
Your post sounds as though you are offended at my desire to this church into a residence.
First I apologize. I meant no offense to anyone by posting these churches here and expressing my want to live in them.
I'm sorry to hear of both your parents passing and can completely understand why living in this particular converted church would not be right for you.
I and most of the folks who read this blog did not grow up with this church or any of the churches I put up here as a part of our lives.
To me, this chuch is a beautiful structure that is being sold and has the potential to be a gorgeous one of a kind residence.
Gorgeous one of a kind residences are kind of what I do here on this blog.
I assure you that you did not offend me. No need to apologize as you were merely expressing a personal preference. Believe me I don't have a problem with that. In my case, I would not do it and I refer to all churches. Not just the former St. Ann's in lansford. I thank you for posting my comment and I wish you well.
