Confession time!
I have a thing for staircases. It's one of the first things I look at in a multi level home.
If it's traditional or typical it taints the rest of the house for me. I'm not a fan of spindle staircases and wrought iron leaves me cold. Weird right?
I want a home that you can't find ANYWHERE else. I want a home that wows you and let's you know she's amazing from the second you step foot in the front door.
I haven't run into many homes that cater to my staircase lust.
This house? UNF! That staircase is everything I want and then some. Bonus for the fact that I adore the rest of the house. The amazing floors, the nice wide hallways, the fact that the home is done out of brick and stone and has amazing wood paneling on the walls, all the windows mean lots of light and did you SEE that bar? Holy cow!
Those stairs though. They are exactly what I lust for in a home. We would however have to IMMEDIATELY remove that red carpet. UGH!
I know, it's weird. What can I tell you...We all have the thing that we look for in our dream home. For me it's a grand staircase.
So, someone wrap this gal up and give her to me because this home is one of my favorites I've run across in a while! There are a handful of homes I've posted over the years that I think of often. This is going to be one of them.
The fact that it has almost as much land as our house in the Berkshires in MA is stupendous. She's in fantastic shape and has clearly been loved over the years.
Yes PLEASE I'm in total lust!
