1868 Horace Cook's restored Victorian Italianate Mansion, a perfect combination of historic charm and modern luxury and one of the finest jewels of the Historic North End. 5000SF Living space, 2500 SF Carriage House.
What I love about the home
The very large rooms, high ceilings and enormous windows. The way the house stays 10-20 degrees cooler than the outside in the summer. The hardwood, parquet (inlaid) floors throughout the first floor (particularly in the dining room). The fantasticly large and plentiful closets throughout the house. The wonderful architectural details that give a real feeling of character to the home. The way a modern kitchen and master bath integrated cleanly into the Victorian "flow" of the home, and the amazing potential for expansion (2400+ feet of walk-up attic, 1500+ feet on the second floor of the carriage house, and most of the basement) should we ever find that 4900 square feet just isn't enough!
