 Though I'm born and raise in New York City and love the place, I also grew up spending every single weekend and every summer at our family house in a very rural town in the Berkshires in MA. In the tiny towns, these stores are necessary places to grab a few items that you don't want to drive all the way into Pittsfield to get. (For us Pittsfield is about 40 mins away and I'm not going into town to get a quart of milk when I can hit a local store like these)
