Walk Through

Letter to our lawyer:
I left you a message about the walk through at xxx xxx Avenue and I want to give you some specifics.
The following is a list of things that Diana, myself and the Realtor xxx xxx found with the apartment during the walk through.
In the one bedroom in the back of the apartment the sliding glass doors of the closet were smashed and need to be replaced. Also, the hardwood floor has gouges in it and was damaged possibly due to the move out.
In the living room the hardwood floor was a mess with multiple scratches, and gouges. Either due to move out or to wear it needs to be fixed.
In the kitchen was infested with roaches. There were Orkin sticky paper roach traps throughout the kitchen and bathroom. The one in the kitchen had multiple dead roaches stuck to it as well as in the cabinets. When I opened the dishwasher roaches scattered. Clearly we interrupted the poker party they were having. The sellers Realtor claims to have 2 invoices that the apartment was recently exterminated. We would like to see a copy of the invoices so we don't ever use that company to exterminate.
In the bathroom the lid on the toilet has a large hole and is cracked. The drain on the tub appears to be broken and the tile is covered in mildew. There were also some dead roaches in there as well.
The second bedroom same issues with the floor. Scratches and gouges.
The place was not clean and was extremely dirty. The sellers Realtor said that Regina's Maids will come in to clean.
I have photos of the points mentioned above if you want to see them. I'm going over tomorrow to take more photos and attempt to video the gaggle of live roaches that are partying.
We aren't sure what to do at this point. We both feel that this apartment is not what we thought we were buying. Since the inspection was done it seems a host of issues are popping up and we want a place that is move in ready. We don't want to have to fix up the apartment with the kids living there. The big issue for us is the bugs. We do not feel comfortable moving our two pre school boys into a house with a roach infestation.
Please call me in the morning to discuss and let me know what we can do.
Thanks
